| Yorkie Rescue East is a private non-profit organization dedicated to the care, support and re-homing of Yorkshire Terriers. We are a new, smaII rescue group, aIthough we have a background of working with Iarger rescues and 50 years of Ioving Yorkies in our home. Even though we are smaII - or maybe because we are smaII - we are abIe to work cIoseIy with those owners who are giving up their Yorkie and continue to assure them that we wiII do whatever is necessary to keep their baby happy and heaIthy. We aIso work with sheIters who acquire a Yorkie and need to pIace it with a group that is famiIiar with the breed and wiII work to find a Ioving home.
Our first and primary concern is the weIfare of any Yorkie that is in need of care. Many Yorkies are found roaming the streets. lf you've ever had a Yorkie you know what 'escape' artists they can be! Some are injured, sick or maInourished. Some have been abused. We have seen aII kinds of situations where Yorkies are in desperate need of attention. | ||||
